To my fives,
Congratulations on making it this far, here at the Parvati Post we’d just like to share some tips for managing your workload while maintaining a healthy mental mindset which you can take with you for the rest of your life.
It’s no joke the amount of pressure that is on you, we know that and we hear you, for some of you this is the end of the road in terms of your Secondary education, and to you we wish you good luck. To others however, CAPE may be your other option if you choose to stay with us here at the college. So just to express from my own personal experience, CAPE is an experience like no other, it allows you to grow and mature while making your plans for the future on a more relaxed basis. My advice to you on which choice you make solely repairs on research and second hand opinions. You are the maker of your own life which is why whatever you choose, make sure to make the most of it.
There are many outlets of information on other tertiary educational institutions such as Costat, SAMs and even The N1 program affiliated with UWI which you can embark on depending on your career path which are available online and even through the grapevine with your teachers and seniors. Don’t be afraid to ask.
Now the workload might be a bit intense depending on the selection of subjects that you decide to take however with each subject comes it’s own challenges, so don’t be discouraged from choosing what you’re interested in.
My tip for managing this can be to review the study tips from our last post and see what works for you, manage your sleep and remember to exercise and keep a healthy diet. Try not to burn the midnight oil on a regular basis or you’ll wear yourself out but try not to falter with the amount of studies that you do.
Try to hang out with your friends and family and practice things such as meditation and breathing exercises. This will help with alleviating anxiety and stress.
Start incorporating positive affirmations in your life. If there is a will there is a way and if you can dream it you can most definitely believe it. When I’m doubt MANIFEST THOSE ONES GIRL.
Now before I close I’d like to add that it takes a lot of strength to get where you are now, so never give up. Here at the Parvati Post WE believe in you. Now go out there and make things happen
